Finding an ironing service

How do I find an ironing service near me?

Search Ironing.nz using your suburb, town or city. The directory shows relevant ironing and laundry businesses in that location, along with nearby providers that may also serve your address.

Can I search for ironing services by suburb?

Yes. Search by suburb or locality to find nearby services. Where few businesses are based in that suburb, results may also include providers in neighbouring areas.

Which parts of New Zealand does Ironing.nz cover?

Ironing.nz covers locations throughout New Zealand. Browse by region, city, town, suburb or locality to find services operating near you.

What should I do if there are no ironing services in my suburb?

Try nearby suburbs and towns. Some ironing businesses provide collection and delivery across several suburbs even when they are not physically based in your exact area.

Can I find mobile ironing services that collect from my home?

Some listed businesses offer pickup and delivery. Check the listing and contact the provider directly to confirm whether your address is within its collection area.

Can I compare several local ironing businesses?

Yes. Compare stated services, locations, contact details, reviews and pickup or delivery information, then contact the businesses that suit your needs.

Services and pricing

How much does professional ironing cost in New Zealand?

Prices vary by provider, location, garment type, order size, turnaround time and whether collection or delivery is required. Contact the provider for current prices and minimum-order requirements.

Do ironing services charge per item or by the basket?

Both methods are used. Providers may charge per garment, by weight, basket, bag or time. Confirm the pricing method before booking.

Do ironing businesses also wash clothes?

Some provide ironing only, while others offer washing, drying, folding, laundry or dry-cleaning services. Review the listing and confirm details directly.

Can I find commercial ironing services?

Yes. Some providers accept uniforms, workwear, accommodation linen, table linen or recurring business orders. Confirm their capacity and minimum volumes directly.

Can I find services for shirts, uniforms or household linen?

Many providers handle everyday clothing, business shirts, school uniforms and household linen. Ask before sending delicate garments, oversized items or specialist fabrics.

Are same-day or urgent ironing services available?

Some providers offer urgent or same-day service depending on workload and location. Contact the business to confirm turnaround time and any additional charge.

Pickup and delivery

Do all ironing services offer pickup and delivery?

No. Some collect and deliver, while others require customers to drop off and collect. Confirm the service area and any delivery charge directly.

How far will an ironing service travel?

Every provider sets its own collection area. Some cover nearby suburbs while others travel across a wider town or city.

Is pickup and delivery free?

It depends on the business. Collection may be included above a minimum order, limited to selected suburbs or charged separately.

Can I arrange a regular weekly ironing service?

Many independent providers accept regular household or commercial customers. Discuss collection days, volumes, payments and recurring bookings directly.

Using the directory

Does Ironing.nz provide the ironing service?

No. Ironing.nz is an independent directory. Listed businesses provide the services and are responsible for their own pricing, availability and workmanship.

Do I book through Ironing.nz?

Unless a listing provides an online booking option, contact the business directly. Ironing.nz does not set prices, schedule appointments or process payments for providers.

Are businesses listed on Ironing.nz verified?

A listing is not automatically an endorsement or guarantee. A visible Verified label means selected identity or contact details have been checked, but customers should still confirm important details directly.

How accurate is the business information?

Ironing.nz aims to provide useful current information, but details can change. Confirm prices, hours, service areas, availability and contact information before relying on them.

Why is a business from another suburb shown in my results?

A nearby business may appear because it is close to your selected location. For mobile or collection services, it may also have an approved service area covering your suburb.

How are directory results ordered?

Results may use location relevance, proximity, available listing information and listing type. Prominent placement does not necessarily mean Ironing.nz recommends one provider over another.

Does Ironing.nz recommend a particular business?

Ironing.nz helps people find and compare providers but does not guarantee that a business will suit every customer. Consider its services, location, pricing, reviews and your own communication.

What should I check before choosing an ironing service?

Confirm price, minimum order, turnaround time, pickup or delivery area, payment method and how delicate or valuable garments are handled. For regular or commercial work, also discuss frequency and capacity.

Business listings

How can I add an ironing business to Ironing.nz?

Use the Add listing form and supply the business name, contact details, locations served, services, hours and relevant website or Google information. Submissions enter the review queue and are not published automatically.

How can I correct an existing business listing?

Submit the business details through the listing form and identify the existing business in the notes. Include corrected information and contact details so Ironing.nz can verify the request before updating the listing.

Can a business claim its listing?

A separate self-service claim portal is not yet available. Business owners can submit an update through the Add listing form, identify the existing listing and provide enough business contact information for verification. Once verified, Ironing.nz can update the existing record rather than creating a duplicate.

Is it free to be listed on Ironing.nz?

A basic listing may be available without charge. Optional enhanced, featured or advertising placements may also be offered, with current options shown in the business section.

Can a closed or incorrect business be removed?

Yes. Report a permanently closed, duplicated, unrelated or substantially incorrect listing. Ironing.nz may review available evidence before updating, hiding or removing it.
